Virgin Galactic is a company within Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group that will offer sub-orbital and orbital spaceflights to the paying public beginning in 2009.
Flights currently are priced at $200,000.
Early flights will launch from the Mojave Spaceport in California. Later flights will start from Spaceport America in New Mexico once that is operational.
Work on the construction of Spaceport Amercian started in June 2009, and will be completed in early 2011.
