On April 3, 2009, A Virgin Blue airplane on its way to Launceston, Tasmania, was struck by lightening several times and was forced to return to Melbourne. Struck by Lightening
On the afternoon of April 3, 2009, a Virgin Blue flight was struck by lightening numerous times after departing Melbourne. The flight was en route to Launceton, Tasmania, with 117 passengers and crew on board.
