Virgie Arthur, mother of the late Anna Nicole Smith, is suing TMZ.com, Harvey Levin and Howard K. Stern saying they tarnished her image and were in collusion to prevent her from getting custody of Dannielynn Smith.
Alleged Defamation
TMZ.com ran a story "Virgie Has Son with Her Stepbrother" on April 19, 2007. The story reveals a family tree wherein Vergie Arthur and David Luther Tacker became step-siblings, not blood relation, and produced a child David Luther Tacker Jr .
Arthur filed a lawsuit in Texas State Court claiming the story was contrived to ruin her reputation and make her look bad in the then ongoing custody battle for Dannielynn Smith.
