Viola Davis is an African-American actress who appeared in Kate and Leopold, Solaris and Nights in Rodanthe. She has also appeared in various television series and has won "Best Actress" in King Hedley II theater play on 2001 Tony Awards.
In 2009, Davis was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in the the film Doubt, but the award went to Penelope Cruz for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She wore the designer Reen ACURA to the awards ceremony.
