Career
Silvstedt first made a name for herself as a member of the Swedish national Skiing team, and then was named a first runner-up in the Miss Sweden competition of 1993. She represented her country in the Miss World pageant later that year, and soon after began a print modeling career. She worked for several companies, such as Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and Christian Dior. In December of 1996, Silvstedt appeared in the centerfold of Playboy, and was named the 1997 Playmate of the Year. She later appeared on the cover of the June 1997 edition of the magazine. Silvstedt has also appeared in numerous other publications, primarily men's magazines. She has also appeared as an actress in films such as BASEketball, Boat Trip and Out Cold, as well as television series like Melrose Place and Son of the Beach. In 2000 she married then-Entertainment Tonight reporter Chris Wragge, who has since gone on to become the nightly news anchor for the New York City CBS affiliate station.
