• NFL Career

  Vernand Morency was selected in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. Morency played one season with the Texans before being traded to the Green Bay Packers after the first week of the 2006 season. He was originally the backup to Ahman Green and used for short-yardage plays. During 2006, Morency rushed 91 times for a total of 421 yards and two touchdowns. He continued as a backup in 2007.
