Vegeta

Vegeta is a fictional character that appears in the anime series Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. He is the Prince of the Saiyan people and shares his name with their home world, Planet Vegeta. Vegeta's heartless nature serves as a mirror image to his rival, Goku. When Vegeta arrived on Earth he intended to exterminate all life on the planet, so it could be sold to an alien species.http://www.dragonballz.com/index.cfm?page=characters&type=&id=54 He was eventually defeated, losing his tail and the ability that all Saiyans naturally possess to transform into a giant were-monkey (Oozaru).http://www.dragonballz.com/index.cfm?page=characters&type=&id=52 As he lay dying Krillin wanted to finish him with Yajirobe's sword, but Goku insisted that he be spared.

Vegeta then traveled to planet Namek, where he planned on using their Dragon Balls to wish for immortality and rule the universe.http://www.dragonballz.com/index.cfm?page=sagas&id=8 He was eventually forced to fight Frieza and was killed. Before dying he explained to Goku that the Saiyans had been eradicated by Frieza because of the legend of the Super Saiyan, supposedly the strongest being in the universe. When the Dragon Balls were used to bring back everyone Frieza had killed, Vegeta was also resurrected. From that point on, Vegeta became a resident of Earth, even starting a family with Bulma Briefs, heir to the Capsule Corporation.
