Vauxhall Motors is a subsidiary of General Motors, and is a business unit of GM's Europe division. Founded in 1903, the company is one of the oldest car manufacturer's in Europe.

- 1905: The construction of the company's first factory in Luton
- 1925: Vauxhall becomes apart of General Motors
- 1960: New factory in Ellesmere Port is built
- 1974: Introduction of Vauxhall Chevette, the company's first mini-car
- 1986: Wins European Car of the Year award for Vauxhall Carlton
- 2006: Vauxhall Corsa goes on sale, and comes close to the company's second car of the year award
- 2008: Vauxhall Insignia introduced at the London Motor Show
