Plot
The story begins with Jonathan "Mox" Moxon (James Van Der Beek), the West Canaan High School football back-up quarterback. With his father pressuring him into football and his crazy for victory coach, Bud Kilmer (Jon Voight), he can't help but resent the sport. As the season progresses he sees Kilmer encouraging the team to play injured giving them shots for the pain and risking permanent injury. This causing Moxon's frustration to grow and he threatens to leave the team. -
