Vanilla Sky

Vanilla Sky is a film about a successful business man who survives a near death experience then tries to piece together his dreamlike existence.

Vanilla Sky is directed by Cameron Crowe. It is a remake of the spanish film Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes). The film tells the tale of David Aames, played by Tom Cruise. After a tragic accident, Aames is left with trying to put together his life again, but things mysteriously do not fit the way it's suppossed to. Is David suffering from the after affects of the accident, is he hallucinating, or is there something even more profound at hand? The original film co-starred Penelope Cruz and she reprises her character in the remake. The film is noted for the dramatic performance of Cameron Diaz who is widely recognized for her comedic talents, but the film would display her dramatic skills as the spurned lover of Tom Cruise's character. Director Cameron Crowe also served as a writer on the remake.
