  On September 6, 2007, suggestive pictures of Vanessa Hudgens were leaked online. In two of the photos she was in lingerie. In the third photo Hudgens was standing up completely naked. Hudgens later apologized for these photos.

  Hudgens became a well known actress and singer through her role as Gabriella in the High School Musical franchise. After signing with Hollywood Records, she released her debut album V. The album appeared at #24 on the Billboard chart and sold 34,000 copies in the first week. Her second album "Identified" was released on July 1, 2008, and debuted at #23.
