Earthquake Zone

Between August 26 and August 28, 2008, seventeen earthquakes measuring between four and five on the Richter scale were detected off the northwest coast of Vancouver Island. The area regularly sees such clusters of seismic activity, but the earthquake swarm of August 2008 was reportedly longer and involved much larger earthquakes than usual.CBC: Quake swarm rocks West Coast's ocean depths (August 28, 2008)
