Van Hunt is an American R&B musician. He is a singer/songwriter and plays the guitar, keyboards and bass guitar.

Career
Hunt wrote and produced the song Hopeless for the former Arrested Development member, Dionne Farris and also played keyboards and guitar on the song. Hunt co-wrote several other songs and later met Randy Jackson who became Hunt's manager in 2002. Hunt released his first album in 2004.Hunt has went on writing for and touring with many popular artists such as Alicia Keys and Kanye West and in 2007 won the Grammy Award for Best R&B; Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
