  • Van der Graaf Generator (VdGG) is a progressive rock band whose success began in Italy in the 1970s. The group named themselves after the Van de Graaff generator, a machine that causes the buildup of static electricity, and accidentally spelled it incorrectly. The group has been on tour since 2005 in Japan and the United Kingdom, with current dates set until 2009.
