  • Valley Girl is a romantic comedy about a popular teenage "Valley Girl" who falls for the advances of a Hollywood punk (Nicolas Cage) over the love of her jock boyfriend, jeopardizing her popularity. The film was Nicolas Cage's breakout role and the first one to bill him as "Cage", rather than his birth name "Coppola". The movie has since gone on to achieve "Cult" status as one of the quintessential films of the 1980s.
