    • Welkin Gunther The main character in the game, Welkin was the son of a great war hero. He was a university student, studying Animal Sociology before he was drafted to help defend his country.
    • Alicia Melchiott Team captain for the town watch, Alicia hopes to one day become a baker. At first she is frustrated by Welkin's personality, but soon warms up to him.
    • Isara Gunther Welkin's adopted younger sister, Isara is from a race of people frequently discrimated against in Europa. She's interested in engineering and can serve as both tank pilot and mechanic in the game.
    • Brigitte Stark (Rosie) Rosie is an excellent soldier, but is highly prejudiced and therefore does not get along with Isara.
