    Valkyria Chronicles is set in 1930s Europa where a war has broken out between the two biggest military powers, the Empire and the Federation. A small independent nation called Gallia is unfortunate enough to be situated between the two super powers and is invaded by the Empire's Imperial Army. The game follows the main character, Welkin Gunther, as he attempts to defend his country's capital city against the Empire's army.   • BLiTZ Battle System

    Valkyria Chronicles combines traditional RPG gameplay with third-person action gameplay in the BLiTZ Battle system. BLiTZ stands for Battle of Live Tactical Zone and allows players to move around like they would in a third-person game during action sequences, but also offers the ability to move strategically like in traditional RPGs.
