The University of Texas at El Paso Miners play FBS Division college football and belong to Conference USA in the NCAA. Led by head coach Mike Price, the Miners play home games at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas, also home to the Sun Bowl.

UTEP Miners Football 2010 Preview
Mike Price will lead the Miners into 2010 hoping to return to their winning ways and end the 23 year drought since a bowl win. Price will have the advantage of having senior quarterback Trevor Vittatoe. The schedule for the Miners begins with a home game against Arkansas - Pine Bluff on September 4. Then the team must travel to inter conference rival Houston for an ESPN nationally televised Friday night game on September 10.
