For Governor, the incumbent Republican Gary Herbert maintained a sizable lead over his Democratic adversary, Peter Corroon. Herbert was appointed to the Governorship in 2009 after Jon Huntsman Jr. was appointed ambassador to China by President Obama.http://elections.nytimes.com/2010/results/utah
The Senate seat was also easily won by republican Mike Lee. Two house seats for District 1 and 3 were won by a wide margin by Republicans Bishop and Chaffetz. Democratic contender Matheson won the House seat for District 2.http://elections.nytimes.com/2010/results/utah
