The United States weightlifting team competed for a total of seven medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.
The team was selected from the results of the 2008 Olympic Team Trials, which was held at the Georgia Institute of Technology on May 16-17, 2008. Three male and four female athletes, plus two alternates, represented the United States. None of the U.S. athletes however, won a medal in weightlifting.
