The top rated women's beach volleyball team of Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor defeated the Chinese team of Wang Jie and Tian Jia for the gold medal on August 21, 2008. Walsh and May-Treanor are the first team to win back-to-back gold medals in the history of beach volleyball at the Olympics. The U.S. men's beach volleyball team of Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser conquered the Brazilian team of Marcio Araujo and Fabio Luiz Magalhaes to win the gold medal on August 22, 2008.NBC Olympics: Beach Volleyball: Results and Schedules The women's indoor teams lost in the finals to Brazil and won the silver medal.
