The United States sent a four-member taekwondo team to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The team competed at the Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium on August 20-23, 2008.
The U.S. team won a total of three medals, including one silver and two bronze.NBC Olympics: Taekwondo - 2008 Medals Standings By Nation Since taekwondo was introduced to the Summer Olympics in 2000, the U.S. team has won two gold medals and one bronze medal.

About the Team
Three of the four team members are siblings. Family members Diana, Mark and Steven Lopez will be joined by Charlotte Craig. The Lopez's older brother Jean will be coaching the squad.
