An 18-member women's field hockey team represented the United States at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The tournament was held from August 10 to August 23, 2008, at the Olympic Green Hockey Field. The team did not qualify for the medal round.
The U.S. men's field hockey team failed to qualify for the 2008 Olympics.
