The United States was represented by nine boxers at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The U.S. participated in nine out of 11 events at the Workers' Indoor Arena. Olympic boxing began on August 9 and ran through August 24. Deontay Wilder won the only boxing medal for the United States. Format
Boxing matches will be made using a draw on August 8. This is also when competitors will be officially weighed in. Each fight will consist of four two-minute rounds with one minute between each round. When a boxer loses a match, he is out of the tournament. The final two boxers in each weight class will face each other for the gold medal. The two losers of the semifinals in each weight class will receive bronze medals.Official Site: Cometition Format-
