Flight 1549 Hudson Crash
US Airways Flight 1549 crashed a few minutes after takeoff into the Hudson River near Manhattan, New York, on January 15, 2009. Preliminary reports, supported by data from the plane's data recorder, indicate that the plane crashed after a flock of geese collided with the plane's engines.
