2010 Outburst
On March 24, 2010, Meyer made news after an outburst following a spring practice which was caught on film. Orlando Sentinel reporter Jeremy Fowler had interviewed Gators reciever Deonte Thompson, taking several quotes. Meyer accused Fowler of using these quotes in a bias and unfair way. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/college/gators/os-uf-urban-meyer-0326-20100325,0,5994746.story After the accusation, Fowler claimed he was only quoting Thompson as many other reporters had done. Video shows Meyer swearing at Fowler and storming away angrily, before defending Thompson's credibility and stating "If (Thomson) was my son, we'd be going at it right now" and telling Fowler to "be very careful."
