An ad for the Disney-Pixar film Up! aired during the second quarter of Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009. The movie features the voice of Ed Asner as an elderly man who turns his house into a hot air balloon and flies it to South America.

Film Synopsis

  • Up! is the story of a 78-year-old balloon salesman, Carl (voiced by Ed Asner). Carl has always wanted to travel to South America and finally accomplishes his life-long dream when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away.
