Each year, magazine The Boston Phoenix publishes its list of the 100 Unsexiest Men. Coming in at #1 for the year 2008 is legendary pitcher and recent target of a Congressional investigation Roger Clemens, referred to by the magazine as "a cheater, a liar/perjurer, a substance-abuser, and a world-class scumbag." Phoenix editors note that they are not merely evaluating physical beauty, but also personality and behavior, focusing on character flaws that make these men undesirable. Entries are divided into categories, including Celeb-Reality, Internet, Media, Movies, Music, Politics, Sports and "Television.
