University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) is a private university that grants undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in science, health and pharmaceutical fields.

History
In 1821, a group of Philadelphia pharmacists founded the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy with the intention of training students in a scientific standard that would improve their profession. The college opened its doors to women in 1876. The 35-acre campus is part of University City, a neighborhood in Philadelphia that the school shares with the University of Pennsylvania.USP has five colleges:
