The University of Tampa is a private university located in Tampa, Florida. The school's athletic teams compete as part of the Sunshine State Conference. It grants undergraduate and graduate degrees and serves 5,600 students each year.Official Site: University Profile
University History
The school was originally founded in 1931 as Tampa Junior College. It held classes in a local high school until 1933, when it moved to its own location and officially became the University of Tampa. The football team was also established that same year, but was discontinued in 1974.
