  • Sports

    The UNI athletic department competes as the Northern Iowa Panthers, with 16 different mens and womens teams in the Missouri Valley Conference, with the exception of football, where they play in the Gateway Conference. The men's basketball team made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2004-2006.
