The University of Florida is an American institution of higher learning located in Gainesville, Florida. The main campus is equidistant from both Jacksonville and Orlando. The university features 17 different undergraduate colleges and more than 150 research centers. The school is also primarily known for their athletics programs. In the 2006-07 scholastic year, both the football and basketball teams won national championships.

The athletic department participates in the Southeastern Conference and has won 17 NCAA national titles in various sports. The school won back-to-back NCAA Tournament championships in 2006 and 2007 in basketball, and the football team has won two national championships and three Heisman Trophy winners.
