The University of Denver is a private, four-year university located just south of downtown Denver, Colorado. The school is home to nearly 12,000 students on a 125 acre campus.
University History
The school was originally founded by John Evans as the Colorado Seminary in 1864. The school changed names in 1880, becoming the University of Denver. The downtown Denver institution saw a surge of enrollment after World War II. The school has since been awarded for its areas of study as well as its safety preparedness. The law, business, social work and international studies schools have all been ranked in the top 100 in the United States by U.S. News and World Report.Official Site: Rankings
