United States of Tara

United States of Tara is a dark-comedy television series starring Toni Collette and John Corbett. The Showtime show was developed by Diablo Cody and created by Steven Spielberg.

Toni Collette won an Emmy Award for her role as Tara Gregson in 2009.

Synopsis

United States of Tara is a comedy series that focuses on the main character Tara (Toni Collette) who suffers from multiple personalities (Dissociative Identity Disorder). Tara's personalities include a teenage pot smoker named T, Alice, a homemaker and Buck, a beer drinking male biker. Tara must find a balance between her personalities and raising a family, while her dysfunctional family struggles to learn how to deal with the multiple identities that comprise Tara.
