  • The United Malays National Organization, commonly referred to as the UMNO, is a right-wing, conservative political party in Malaysia. It is the largest political party in the country, and is the controlling member of the Barisan National Coalition.     2. Supports Islamic Law, and applies them to both Muslim and non-Muslim citizens
    3. The UMNO Youth League has been particularly radical with its anti-Chinese sentiment

  • Poor Performance in 2008 Elections

    The UMNO is a central member of the Barisan Coalition, which has controlled the Malaysian parliament since the country declared independence.
