Underdog is an American television cartoon series popular in the late 1960's and a 2007 feature film from Classic Media and The Walt Disney Company.
Plot
Underdog is the story of a police dog who has made a number of mistakes, causing him to be removed from the squad and placed into an animal lab. When he is almost taken from the lab by Cad and Dr. Simon Barsinister, he breaks lose, spilling chemicals onto himself from the shelves. His body begins to change and allows him to bust through the walls of the lab to escape. He runs into a street, almost being hit by a car. The driver exits the car to see what happened to the dog, finding him hiding under the car. He names him Shoeshine and takes him home. Shoeshine does not reveal his super-natural powers, living a double life. He helps patrons and stops criminals.
