Uncombable Hair Syndrome is a rare dermatological disease in which a person's hair cannot be combed flat. Resulting from a structural abnormality in the scalp hair, UHS is characterized by dry, glossy hair with haphazard arrangements of hair bundles. Uncombable Hair Syndrome was first diagnosed in 1973 and is often linked to problems with brittle fingernails and enamel deficient teeth.
