Chapter 1 - Ambush
- NOTE: The main purpose of this chapter is to get comfortable with the controls and following the on-screen prompts at the bottom of the screen. Also get used to the process of taking cover.
- Right into the action! Two pirate boats will approach to your right with two men each. Aim for the exploding barrels to take them out quickly.
- NOTE: Don't worry about Elena. She can handle herself.
- Next, a boat on the left. This time the pirates jump into the water and climb on board. Take cover behind the crates to take them out.
- Another boatload from the right. Two more pirates will climb on board. The on-screen directions will tell you to use a Brutal Combo. You can do that by following the instructions, but it's easier to simply use the crates as cover and shoot like you did before.
- TIP: An enemy taken down with a Brutal Combo yields twice as much ammo.
- Four more pirates climb on board from the front of the ship. Again, the crates in the middle are your friend.
- One more boat, this time with a rocket launcher. Don't try to destroy it, just stay on the opposite side of the crates for cover. Sully will arrive in a plane to take out the last boat.
- TIP: Hold down L2 to lock the camera onto Sully's plane.

Chapter 2 - The Search for El Dorado
- When you resume control of Nate, ignore Sully's stories and head toward the sun-drenched area directly in front of you.
- There are no enemies in this "exploration" portion of the game, and the path is relatively straightforward. There are a few points of interest, however, such as the first of the many treasures hidden throughout the game.
- Treasure #1: When you reach the stream, follow it until it runs between two rock walls. Then Circle around the left wall until you are standing on a moss-covered stone in a corner. If you look down you will see something shining. It's the first hidden treasure, a Silver Mosaic Inca Earing. Press Triangle to pick it up.
- TIP: be on the lookout for these treasures. They are mostly hidden in areas that are "off the beaten path" and are recognizable by an intermittent glint of light. Each one is unique and they can all be viewed in the Bonus Section of the Start Menu once they've been discovered. Finding treasures can unlock rewards such as new guns and character costumes.
- Continue on through the jungle, heading to the right past a waterfall and through a palm tree thicket. You'll know you're on the right path when you hear Sully start blathering something about England and Francis Drake. After a cutscene, you'll see a twisted tree-root in the distance. Head toward it and the path should be on the right between the rocks.
- When you arrive at the ruins, Sully begins walking around looking for an entrance. Head to the left between the stone structures and then toward the tree that stands near the far wall. Press X to climb the ledge to the left of the tree.
- Jump to your left across the gap and then jump again to the ledge with the toppled obelisk. Climb across it and jump onto the raised square. Drake will notice something funny about the ground.
- Treasure #2: from the raised square, jump to your left to another structure with a tree growing. at the base of the tree is the Jeweled Silver Monkey.
- From the first raised square, jump to the column to your right and then one more jump to a ledge with vines. Pres Circle to hang from the ledge and make your away along the wall to your left, pressing X to jump when prompted.
- climb up some steps to a large moss-covered boulder, and press Triangle to push it off the ledge and reveal a pit. Jump down to enter the temple ruins.
- You'll see a partially collapsed tunnel that that leads to a large chasm.
- Treasure #3: On the far left as you approach the chasm, there is a pillar. On the back side of the pillar, you'll find the Decorated Gold Ring.
- You should see a barrel on the other side of the chasm. shoot it and a column will topple across, providing a bridge.
- On the other side, you'll find a stone door linked to a pulley system. Rapidly press Triangle to use the pulleys. after lifting the door once, Sully will volunteer to hold the door open while you look for something to jam it.
- Directly through the door to the right is a cart full of logs. push it under the door and Sully will slip under. You'll notice a furnace, and be prompted to check Drake's diary. Once you do, Sully will light the furnace with his cigar.
- Shoot the hanging torch above the pile of debris to burn it away, revealing a massive circular pit. Climb onto the red wall panels to the left and jump along to the other side. Once you grab hold of a long vine, you can slide on down to the bottom.
- once at the bottom, you'll find two barrels tucked away in one corner. Shooting them will clear away some debris and reveal another passageway and a ladder for Sully.
- Sully will light another furnace. Continue down the passageway until you come to a room with two large anvil-like structures on either side. Drake will consult the diary after noticing signs on the floor. You'll need to push four stone slabs into the wall in the correct order. this order is: First, in the back right corner (a sun?), Second, on top of the left anvil from the entrance(an Aztec Warrior?), Third, on the far left wall, (a spider?) and finally the angry face at the top of the right anvil. This will reveal another deep hole on the ground.
- There's a ladder on one side, near where Sully is standing. take the ladder down, then jump left along the ledges to a small corridor. Be careful! the middle ledge will crumble if you hang for too long. Push the spiked block until it locks in place, filling the hole with water.
- Now that the water is deeper, you can jump down without dying. From here you'll see a lighter corridor leading up to another ledge.
- Treasure#4: To the right of this ledge is the Silver Llama.
- jump up the rocks on the left side of the ledge to begin scaling the wall. Keep moving from ledge to ledge until you grab a red vine, then climb up. Shoot the barrels to make a hole in the wall for Sully.
- The door at the end of this corridor is pulley-operated, but requires two people. Drake and Sully team up to open it revealing a network of wooden walkways. a few steps in, the walkways will start to collapse. Keep running forward, making sure to jump, then cut to the right, then jump again. Sully will follow on the collapsed pillars. From here, walk up the stairs to trigger a cutscene.
- Treasure #5: Along the left wall in the empty statue room is a breakable urn. directly behind it is a skeleton guarding the Golden Inca Cup.
- Follow the scratch marks on the ground through a side corridor that will lead you outside.
- Treasure #6: Once you're back outside, climb on top of the shortest stone column, then jump along the other three to find the Silver Turtle.
- keep following the path until you come across a strange sight: an old rusty submarine sticking out of waterfall.

Chapter 3 - A Surprising Find
- Jump into the water and swim towards the waterfall. As you approach the shore on the right, Sully will suggest that you "monkey" across the cliffs. Get ready for some rock-climbing.
- Hop onto the vine, then jump to the right when the vine is on the upswing. After a few more leaps you'll need another vine to get across. From there, jump up twice and then to your left.
- Run along the ledge, jump up, then across to another vine. This time, let it steady itself then climb up.
- Treasure #7 At the top of the vine is the Gold Tairona Pendant.
- Press Circle to drop down along the ledge and inch your way around to the left. Jump across and follow the path to a point where you can see the sun through the waterfall. Approach the ledge, Press Circle again to hang over, and move along the left wall. Eventually you will begin to drop down to lower ledges until you can safely jump onto the top of the U-Boat.
- Treasure #8 At the very tip of the U-Boat you will find the Gold and Turquoise Inca Earring.
- On the elevated section of the U-Boat, you'll find a porthole. climb down and then walk forward to a door with a valve. press Triangle rapidly and rotate the analog stick to open it. Drop down a hole to trigger a cutscene.
- After the cutscene, proceed forward through another valved door. Swim through the flooded chamber and climb the ladder into the captain's quarters. After another cutscene, move forward into the torpedo room to trigger more cutscenes.
- Now you're back outside, and Roman Navarro's goons are after you. You'll be prompted to perform a brutal combo on the first one that you run into. Keep going to trigger more cutscenes.
- Now it's time for some proper combat. The first guard at the entrance is facing away from you and can be dispatched with a stealth attack. Take cover behind the rock as three more men appear. Take out two of them and the third will run back into the ruins.
- turn the first corner, then take cover against the wall around the next corner. A guard will appear. Take him out. Jump to the ledge and you can perform a hanging attack to peek over and shoot the next guard, who drop drops an AK-47.
- There are two more guards in the next room. You can take cover behind the pillars. Keep going past them into the room with the collapsed columns. There will be two guards here as well.
- Keep going past the room with the pit. As you move up the narrow staircase, five more guards will be waiting. you can use a hanging attack while peeking over the sides and then move forward and duck below the stones for cover.
- climb up the ladder at the end of the corridor, and get ready for another shootout with two more guards. This time, one will be throwing grenades. Don't panic, as long it's on the other side of your cover you should be safe.
- Keep moving. You'll need to deal with two more guards at the pillar bridge, then another four on the staircase leading out of the ruins. You can get them from cover at a distance, but it might be easier to vault over the fallen stones and hide behind the pillars. Climb the rope and run towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
- There will be three more waiting outside. After taking them out, follow Elena to the stashed Jeep.

Chapter 4 - Plane-wrecked
- Treasure #9: From where you begin, turn around and look for a glimmer to the right of a big tree. You'll find the Silver Inca Figurine.
- Keep moving forward until you find a metal gate. Shoot the padlock off the door and press Triangle to kick it down. Through the gate is a pool of water with a waterfall.
- Treasure #10: From the pool of water look to your left to find a nook in the rock wall. Here you'll find the Silver Fish Charm.
- to the right of the waterfall, make your way up the rocks and through the clearing to a stream. Follow the stream until you see another waterfall.
- Treasure #11: To the left of the waterfall, drop down underneath a hanging log and then scale the wall to your right to find the Gold Frog.
- Move across the log then take cover behind the upright stone. Three mercenaries emerge. After taking them out, keep moving across the next log and up the vine. You'll be prompted to use a brutal combo to take out a fourth mercenary. Make sure you pick up the two grenades on the crate.
- Three more mercenaries will be waiting through the stone gateway to the right. By now you should be becoming comfortable with using the rocky outcroppings as cover. After you clear them out, you'll find yourself overlooking an archway ruins populated with mercenaries. Don't bother firing on them until you're on the ground. Make your way down using the stone ledges on the tallest rock. Be careful not to be noticed on the way down.
- This will be your first big shootout! First, grab the AK-47 leaning against the wall to your right. Take out the first three guards with exploding barrels. Three more will follow. You'll find more grenades on a crate to the right as well as a passage through the trees that will allow you to move around behind the second wave of guards and provide a good source of cover behind the archways. After these three are dispatched, a third wave will include two standing on the ledge that will be directly across from you if you took the passage around, as well as three more on the ground. the fourth and final wave will feature five mercenaries. One of them is carrying a shotgun, so try to take him out first. After the last one falls, take a breather and collect everyone's ammo.
- You should see a short pillar standing near a very thick tree trunk. Use it jump up to the higher columns.
- Treasure #12: From the high columns, you can get to the ledge where the mercenaries were firing earlier. In the shade of the tree on the far side of the ledge you'll find the Intricate Gold Ring.
- From the high columns, jump over to a ledge that will feature a crate and another iron gate. Now would be a good time to practice using your grenades. There are two men waiting on the other side of the gate, although more will appear. You can shoot the lock and move through as normal, or you can jump from a stone up to a hole in the wall to the left of the gate. Hang but don't press Circle or you'll be spotted. From here, hold L1 and tilt the controller get the right arc. In this case, try to make it land on the short wall.
- After either going through the gate or jumping through the hole in the wall, you'll be joined by six more guards. Three will come over the wall to the left, and three will be taking cover in the hallway to the right.
- Through the doorway into the next courtyard, you'll find one guard already waiting. After you deal with him, four more will come from behind the crumbling walls to your left.
- Treasure #13: Jump up onto the back wall (where the four guards came from) and search to the left to find the Pattered Silver Ring.
- From the back wall, jump onto the standing pillars. Keep moving from pillar to pillar until you can jump through the archway above the blocked gate.
- The next group of ruins will be guarded by six men. This doorway is a good place to lob grenades.
- Treasure #14: Run up the hill to the left of the ruins and search behind a tree for the Golden Jaguar.
- Move through the ruins into a small cave and you will emerge overlooking a waterfall. Don't be fooled by the stones directly in front of you, instead look to your right for a group of ledges that be climbed across. Careful, the last outcropping will crumble. Climb up the wall, edge around so that you're facing out towards the standing rocks. Leap across them and onto the broken bridge.
- Once on the bridge, take cover. Two mercenaries will be waiting at the top of the waterfall. Once you've taken them out, again don't be fooled into jumping directly across to the next section of bridge, it's too far. you'll need to jump down to the lower rocks and take a path along the wall. Be wary of crumbling ledges.
- From the second section of the bridge, start making your way down the waterfall using the rocks jutting out from the water. The first ledge you'll jump to looks like it has a crack running down the middle, and when you step on the loose half, it will fall. Walk, don't jump, from it onto the next rock as it falls.
- A truck full of mercenaries will pull up above you. jump across a few ledges until you have a good view, then shoot the barrel in the back. The truck will fly into the water, creating a makeshift bridge. Run across it quickly before it falls.
- Make your way up the falls by leaping from rock to rock. Soon you'll be fired on by two men at the top. There's no cover at first, so keep moving from rock to rock and don't stop to shoot them until you make it to the big rock in the middle, where you can safely take them out while hanging from the ledge.
- Keep moving to the right, making sure to collect the grenades. You'll find an awkwardly positioned log hanging over a small pit.
- Treasure #15:Down in the pit and over to the right, you'll find the Silver Inca Vessel.
- Jump from the rock that looks vaguely like a diving board and grab the end of the log. It will give a little, but pull yourself up and walk across. Climb the vines up to the top of the wall, where you'll find the wreckage of your crashed plane.
- It's time for another big shootout! There are a grand total of nine mercenaries waiting around the wreckage, although you won't have to deal with all of them at once if you advance slowly from wall to wall.
- TIP: If you wait before jumping down you can peek around and see five of the mercenaries standing in a cluster. This is an excellent place to pick up a Dyno-Might medal.
- After clearing the area, climb the rope into the crashed plane for a cutscene.
- After it's finished, quickly shimmy back down and get ready for mercenaries to come down from the rocks where you came from earlier. Make a point to move up close to them. There are seven total, and they if you get within range you can deal with them as they jump down, but if you hang back and give them all time to set up on the ground they can easily overwhelm you.
- As soon as you're finished with those enemies, you'll be fired on by two more from the other direction. While you're dealing with them, a group of four more will blow up the gate and move in. There are shotguns in this group, so keep your distance and use cover.
- Treasure #16: Immediately to your right after passing through the cleared gate, you'll find the Golden Toothpick.
- A mercenary will come running along the cliff side but trigger a trap. That's your cue to start watching out for tripwires. If you do trigger a trap, quickly press Circle to avoid being skewered. Keep going past the trap and make your way along the wall jumping from ledge to ledge. Eventually you'll need to let go of a ledge to fall onto a green patch.
- There are three guards waiting near the short walls up ahead, and one further back carrying a dangerous grenade launcher. The first three can be stealth killed so that the grenade guard won't notice you until its too late for him. As you advance, you'll run into three more guards. Take them out and then climb up and claim the fallen guard's grenade launcher. You'll see a a huge group of mercenaries, twelve in all, coming out of the woods ahead of you. Don't panic. There are a series of traps that will thin their numbers, and with a grenade launcher you can make short work of the rest.
- Treasure #17: Once you've cleared the area of enemies, make your way back to the cliff overlooking the sea. At the opposite corner from the one you climbed down from, next to a large rock, you'll find the Silver Bird Vessel.
- Treasure #18: Make your way past the wooded hill full of traps, then cut to the left up to a ledge overlooking them. Here you'll find the Silver Inca Earring.

Chapter 5 - The Fortress
- Make your way up to the great white fortress. Time for a major climbing session. For the most part the path you'll need to take is fairly intuitive. Dark indentions are safe, but lighter ones indicate that the rocks will crumble away. You'll climb through a window into the fortress, but you'll only be inside it very briefly before you'll need to head through another window and start climbing again.
- Press Circle to drop down, then make your way to the right. You'll need to make a jump involving two consecutive vines, which can be tricky. Make your way around the corner and jump onto another vine, but don't immediately try to jump or start swinging. Wait until the vine is stable, take one or two steps up, and THEN start swinging and leap to your right. Keep climbing up the wall, grab the vine above the grated window, and press Triangle to pound it through.
- You're in! Head down the hallway and get ready for another shootout. There are four men waiting in the courtyard on the ground, but the matter will be complicated by four MORE mercenaries standing along the ramparts above you. They will throw grenades, so be ready to run back into the corridor for cover. Be patient and wait for them to expose themselves.
- Treasure #19: Run up the ramp to the fortress ramparts, then move along the ramparts to the left. When you reach the end, jump onto the flat surface to your left. There, you'll find the Strange Relic.
- Treasure #20: You'll notice little watchtowers sticking out from the ramparts. The first three, the ones you can walk right up to, are empty. The fourth can only be accessed by climbing over a large pile of rubble. Inside it is the Silver Jaguar.
- Jump down into a courtyard, make your way up the stairs and under the archway. It's time for another big firefight. There are nine mercenaries total, including one standing on the walls above you. It's best to stay under the archway and use the explosive barrels to thin them out, because around the corner to the right is a mounted machine gun that will mow you down if you aren't careful. After you've dealt with the other distractions, wait until the turret gunner stops firing and then pop out around the corner and take him out.
- Treasure #21: After this fight, head back the way you came and look out over the courtyard. You should see two grated archways, one of which is covered by rubble. Jump behind the rubble to find the Gold Mosaic Inca Earring.
- Jump over the crates blocking the doorway behind the machine gun. Take out the lone guard hiding in the room in front of you, then head up the stairs. Make your way along the ramparts to the large tower. Drake will say something about Elena's parachute, then climb to the window and press Triangle to use the zipwire and see a cutscene.
- Shoot the padlock off the door and grab the Wes 44. There are six guards in the courtyard below, but you can take care of them easily from your elevated position. After they're finished, jump down and head through the gate that was raised for you.
- Jump down into the flooded passageway. There's a machine gunner at the end of the corridor, so move carefully. There are explosive barrels near him, so get close enough and shoot them to take him out.
- Treasure #22: Jump through the doorway about halfway down the corridor. In a storage room with a lone guard, you'll find the Golden Spoon behind some ammo boxes in a corner.
- Run to the end of the flooded corridor and climb up where the machine gun was mounted. Drop down into a another flooded chamber and get ready for the most intense gunfight yet. Relative to some of the other situations you've seen so far, the number of enemies isn't so scary, but the layout of the room makes matters complicated. There's no really solid place to take cover and its easy to find yourself surrounded. Immediately take cover behind the first set of rocks. From the outset, you'll have one man standing in front of you and two standing on the planks and overlooks above you. Take care of them and you'll have three more on the ground to deal with. After them, another wave of three will jump down. Finally, you'll have two shotgunners emerge from where you first entered.
- Once the room is cleared, jump from a stone on the ground up to the wooden scaffolding, then jump across to an iron gate. Rapidly press Triangle to pull the lever, then jump into the pool below.
- You'll be able to get out of the water by jumping to some ledges along the back left wall, which look lighter than the rest of the stones. Climb up, turn the lever to raise the water level. Now you should be able to reach the blocks protruding from the wall, which will take you to a second lever and drain which will raise the water higher. Now you can jump directly up to the stairwell.

Chapter 6 - Unlocking the Past
- Make your way up the stairs and through the room stacked with broken boxes into a courtyard, where you'll see a large white tower. After the cutscene, you'll be attacked by two men on the ground and two more on the walls above, so be ready to take cover behind the door or the fallen stones.
- Head up the stairs to the ramparts, where three more mercenaries will be waiting. The architecture makes great cover.
- Treasure #23: There will be two white trees at the top of the stairs. Look for the one that faces out towards the sea, then search behind it (on the ocean side) for the Silver Inca Mask.
- Move along the ramparts until you find a crank. Press Triangle repeatedly to lift the gate below, then hop down and head on through. This leads to a courtyard full of odd looking columns. You'll also notice, at the back and to the left, a locked door with a key symbol hanging overhead.
- Start climbing up the columns, starting with the short stumpy one in front. Eventually you'll need to jump to the right wall and scoot around a taller column to get to another lower one. From here, take a running leap across to the spot on the left wall where a rope has been tied. press Triangle and Drake will swing out and kick the columns down. You'll land on the ground, and need to press Circle quickly when prompted to avoid being squashed by the hanging scaffolding.
- Now you'll be able to climb up the fallen piece of the column and jump through the window, then begin scaling the wall to the right. Just jump towards the white ledges. You'll reach a platform with some pigeons, which will begin to fall, placing you on the outside of the tower.
- Climb around the tower until you're hanging over an open window, then drop down and jump across to the other side. From there, you can climb up to the lookout point at the top. Drake will push a skeleton off the ledge to pick up his keys. You can then use the rope to slide back down to the ground.
- Make your way back to the locked room and use the keys to get into the prison. Run past the cells and get ready for another fun shootout in the next courtyard. There will be a machine gunner overlooking the courtyard. Wait until he takes a break from firing then make your way to the first stack of boxes, where you'll find a grenade launcher with exactly one shot. Make it count and taken him out. There will be a ten men total joining you on the ground. The best position in this fight is under an archway to your right, where you'll find a stack of crates and a Wes 44.
- Treasure #24: After clearing out the courtyard, head to the back past all the crates. There will be a archway with an iron gate across it. Climb up the collapsed stones to the left of this archway and look around in the overgrowth for the Spanish Silver Coin.
- Look for an crank along the wall that will left a small gate. Pull it by pressing Triangle repeatedly, then head through the gate and up the stairs. You'll hear some men coming down the corridor full of boxes. Take cover at the first arch and wait for them to come to you. After clearing four of them (including one with a shotgun, be careful!) start moving forward. There will be a man with a Micro 9mm hiding on a balcony. Deal with him then take cover as four more will come down the hall.
- Further down the hall you'll find a familiar machine gun turret. Press Triangle to start using it. There will be five more men down in the courtyard, and another on the ledge to the left. Mow them down.
- Treasure #25: After the long hallway you'll head downstairs and find a grate with boxes stacked against it. Look in the right corner, up next to the stairs, for the Silver Tairona Pendant.
- Follow the doorways into a darkened room. You'll find a steel cap on a table, press Triangle to trigger a cutscene. When its over, you'll be joined by a man with a shotgun. Take care of him and head up the stairs and out into the large courtyard. Drake will notice another tower, then be attacked by three more men.
- You'll notice a fallen stairwell on the side of the courtyard that faces out to the sea. Jump from it up to some white blocks to climb up to a fallen palisade.
- Treasure #26: Climb over the rubble and greenery and you'll find the Gold Llama.
- Start making your way along the wall by climbing on the white ledges. You'll find yourself in Drake's Tower. Again, look for white-colored ledges to make your way across the chasm and along the inside wall, then jump up from the last crumbling ledge into a room full of crates and head up the stairs to the sun-lit balcony to trigger another cutscene.
- When you regain control, immediately shoot one of the men standing below you before they kill Elena. The other will throw a grenade. Lights out!

Chapter 7 - Out of the Frying Pan
- Elena turns out to be pretty handy! After breaking out of jail, you'll be manning a stationary gun on the back of Elena's Jeep. There aren't really any decisions to make here: Elena will do the driving, you just need to take out the men who pursue you. It might be easier to use the machine gun (R1) for the men on bikes, but when you see trucks, use grenades (L1).
- Elena will reach a dead end cliff and have to turn around. When this happens, be ready with your grenade launcher for the oncoming truck.
- Occasionally, Elena will need you to clear away some rubble. The camera will wheel you around and point you in the right direction when this happens.

Chapter 8 - The Drowned City
- Make for the shore quickly, because Eddy's men are still on the cliff behind you. Run through the gate into the courtyard and prepare for some shooting. The fallen columns make excellent cover. There will be five men in the first area and three more waiting near the back. After its cleared, turn the crank and lift the gate.
- Treasure #27: To your right just after you walk through the gate from the shore, you'll find the Decorated Silver Ring near a large rock.
- After the cutscene, hop on the jet ski and start making your way upriver. Use X to accelerate and Circle to brake. You have infinite grenade launcher ammo during this section.
- If you touch any of the floating barrels, they'll explode and probably kill you. Make sure you shoot them before they get too close.
- There will be several men waiting for you on balconies and roofs. Proceed slowly and don't move too far into open water until you've cleared each section out.
- After heading through the flooded streets, you'll ramp up over a roof into a small bay near the Customs House. Head over to the steps and hop off the jetski. Elena will notice a cable on a nearby tower.
- On your way to the tower, you'll be ambushed by six men. The first three of them have the misfortune of standing next to an exploding barrel. Head around the corner and take cover: there's a guard with a grenade launcher on top of the small building ahead. Peek out and shoot him quickly. There will be two more guards waiting underneath him.
- The next group of enemies has a fair amount of cover but the grenade launcher can still be useful. Take out all five of them and then head through the ruins and up the stairs.
- Treasure #28: At the back of the ruins, before heading up the steps, you'll find the Silver Frog in a darkened corner room.
- Jump across the platforms along the outer wall. There'll be one guard that you can take out by peeking over a ledge. Make your way to the crank, use it to lift the gate, and Elena will come pick you up. It's time for more jetski action.

Chapter 9 - To the Tower
- This time the streets are a little more narrow. Remember that your grenade launcher has incredible range. After going under the first archway, there'll be a spot with three floating barrels. There are three men waiting around it that will make short work of you if don't proceed very slowly. Again, just proceed with caution.
- You'll head under a fallen tree and past a row of arches into a clearing with several floating barrels. Be very careful here: on the other side of the flooded courtyard, there's a man on a balcony with a grenade launcher of his own. Take him out quickly, using the fallen walls for cover if necessary. After the guards are disposed of, look for an iron gate blocking your path. Shoot the two stone weights hanging on either side of it and it will open up.
- Elena will drop you off at the steps. Get ready for more gunplay. Three men will be waiting for you immediately ahead. You'll need to swim down an alley to get to the next section, but there are three more on the other side who will be shooting at you. Try to take out a few of them before you begin swimming, since four more will show up once you get to the other side. You can peek over the stairwell from the water to gain some decent cover. Pull yourself up when the coast is clear and advance up to the short walls. Watch out for grenades and you should be fine.
- Once the courtyard is cleared, climb up to the raised area where a guard was standing, then climb along the windows to get to the standing pillars. You can jump along them to get over top of the marble gateway. Once you're on the other side, quickly take cover to avoid the men with shotguns who will emerge. Grenades are effective here. There will be four in the first little alley. Be very careful about moving around the corner to the right: there's another guy with a grenade launcher standing on top of the small building. Deal with him before taking out the three men on the ground. Unfortunately there's no cover on his perch from the six men in the courtyard behind him, so it's best to hop back down and take them out cautiously by taking cover behind the wall. Once its clear, head on through to the tower door.
- Treasure #29: Up against the wall to the left before you enter the tower, behind two yellow bricks, you'll find the Golden Fish Charm.
- Once inside, deal with the two stragglers hiding in the side rooms, then find a wooden lever and push Triangle to move a chain around so that you can climb on it. The chain will lead you to a wooden platform. Run across it to the opposite side and start making your way up the tower on the white blocks that stick out from the wall.
- A few blocks up you'll have the option to either jump left or right. Head right and you'll get to another chain. Climb to the top then jump off to the right to find another wooden lever. Pull it to realign the chain, then head back around, this time jumping to the left. After a few perilous leaps, you'll land on a broken stair, and you'll able to jump to the newly repositioned chain and make your way up to the next floor.
- Kill the guard and head around and up the steps to the zipwire. Press Triangle and you'll make your way down into the Customs House. Shoot the lock off of the door and let Elena in.

Chapter 10 - The Customs House
- Treasure #30: Immediately after letting Elena in, look in the corner of the room for the Jeweled Golden Brooch.
- Head up the steps and then jump down into the room with the purple floors. You'll see an open doorway. Head in for a lengthy cutscene.
- Keep moving up the stairs until you see a man in a room full of crows. He's an easy target, but there will be five more men on and around the stairwell in the next room. Around the corner is another balcony with a grenade launching mercenary. He's much easier to take out if you simply head up the first stairwell to the right and move around.
- Treasure #31: At the top of the right stairwell, you'll find the Silver Belt Buckle.
- press Triangle to turn the chain crank and open the gate at the top of the left stairwell. Head on through for another cutscene. When its over, shoot the padlock off the ornamental door and leap to the balcony. When it starts to collapse, rapidly press X to make it to the next one. Three men will begin shooting from inside the building, including one with a grenade launcher. You can just ignore them and keep on leaping across. When you get to the end of the balcony, shoot the lock off of another ornamental door and they'll fall into the sea, clearing the doorway for you to jump through. Press Triangle to crank the gate open and keep on going.

Chapter 11 - Trapped
- You'll step into a large circular room full of toppled statues. A helicopter will fly overhead, which is your cue to take cover. This is one of the game's toughest firefights, so don't be discouraged if it takes a few tries. Duck behind the stairs as you come down and you'll find the Dragon Sniper, which will come in handy because there's a machine gun turret on the other side of the room that you'll need to unman as well as a guard with an M4 standing on the same stairwell. There will be twelve men in the first wave. Use sniper fire and grenades to keep from being overwhelmed. When you run out of Dragon ammo, move up and claim either a Wes 44 or a new flavor of assault rifle, the M4. Make your way around the room slowly, so that you're close to the side with the turret when you've taken out the first wave. Five more will come jumping down from the opposite side, so be ready at the turret to mow them down.
- When the coast is clear, relax, gather some ammo, then use the crank at the top of the stairs to lift the gate. Head down the steps to see another cutscene.
- Once the boat takes off, head up the stairs and take out the guard. Watch for a guy with a grenade launcher behind the rails just as you come up. Take him out, then take cover and deal with the two men at the top of the grand forking staircase.
- Treasure #32: Take the right path on the forking staircase to find the Spanish Gold Coin.
- Take the left path instead to find an old rope bridge. Start across and you'll see a cutscene.
- Treasure #33: After Elena loses her camera, head all the way down the stairs. To the left, behind all the overgrowth, you'll find the Silver Spanish Chalice.
- Take the other short flight up the stairs out of the Customs house and into a darkened tunnel. There will be three guards here.
- Treasure #34: Before going up the stairs circling the room just past the tunnel, check behind a stack of ammo boxes for the Gold Coatimundi.
- One more stairwell and you'll be at a small dock. There are five men waiting behind cover for you. Take them out and find the jetski.

Chapter 12 - Heading Upriver
- The first section of the river features some rapids and a lot of floating barrels. Again, touching them isn't a very good idea. The good news is that you have infinite ammo again. The bad news is this time it's only a handgun. Just the same, you're better off advancing cautiously and picking off the mercenaries from a distance.
- After you move through a narrow space with very few enemies, you'll round the bend to the left. there will be a bank with two men waiting. Even further around there'll be another bank with two more men. These will make short work of you if you get very close, so hang back and pick them off. After these spots, you'll go under a bridge (another group of enemies here, but they're closer and easier to hit.) You'll find the real rapids.
- You'll come across a series of waterfalls. Weave around to find the one that's the least steep and accelerate on up. At the top of the third group of waterfalls is a man with a grenade launcher. He might get a lucky shot, but he probably won't be able to hit you until you've cleared the waterfalls, at which point you'll be close enough to take him out.
- Round the bend and you'll have more ruins plus three more guards. Again, caution is key. Make your way past them and into a cave and you'll find yourself at the monastery.

Chapter 13 - Sanctuary?
- Treasure #35: Moving on into the monestery, jump back into the water and swim around the bend towards a stone bridge. climb up onto a ledge next to the water wheel to find the Golden Turtle.
- If you picked up the treasure, you can jump on up and get a hanging shot from behind on the three guards who would have been waiting for you. Follow the trail across the bridge and through the passage. Knock down an iron gate and head up the stairs for a cutscene.
- Treasure #36: Past the sprung trap you'll find an old crumbling staircase. Instead of taking the stairs, jump into the water and inspect the rocks directly under it. You'll find the Silver Inca Cup.
- At the top of the stairs is a clearing with four of a new type of enemy. These mercenaries are Roman's, not Eddy's, and they're carrying Desert 5s with laser sights. If you stand still for them to get a shot off, it'll kill you in one hit. Use the Circle button while running to tumble and mess up their aim.
- After that you'll have a lot of stairways to climb. At the top you'll find the front door of the monastery being guarded by two more of Roman's men. Take them out from the ledge, then jump down and two more will come running out with Desert 5s. Head on in and approach the fountain in the courtyard. You'll hear an explosion and be attacked by several more of Roman's guards. Take cover behind the short wall to the right of the fountain and watch the balconies and your left flank. There will be two men on the overlooks and eight more that come down the stairs in pairs from your left.
- Head up the left stairs and take out the man on the floor, then follow the stairs to the right wall and start jumping along the ledges. You'll notice the pillars have places to climb. Move from pillar to pillar until you get to the other wall, at which point you can jump across to the doorway. Kick the gate down and head out onto the balcony overlooking the courtyard. Follow the balcony down to a doorway leading two a side room and drop down. You'll notice a pile of explosive barrels to shoot that will clear a path for Elena.
- Treasure #37: In the room with the barrels, search to the right of the stack in a darkened corner to find the Jeweled Silver Cross.
- At the end of the room you'll find a braced wooden door with a chain crank. Use Triangle to open it, then watch a brief cutscene with Elena.
- On the other side of the door is a large courtyard with an ancient-looking tree in the center. To the right from the way you entered is the library (the building with the columns). There are six guards on the ground, plus two snipers. Take cover behind the first rockpile on the right and you'll find a Dragon Sniper waiting for you. Grab it and look straight ahead and up for the first sniper, on a balcony. The other is on a balcony along the wall to the left. From the rockpile where you found the Dragon Sniper, he'll be directly behind the old tree.
- Save some Dragon Sniper ammo while you're dealing with the rest of the guards on the ground, because once they're gone, you'll be joined by another wave of four that features two men with grenade launchers. Taking them out from a distance is preferable.
- Treasures #38, #39, and #40: There are three treasures in this courtyard, although you'll revisit later so you don't have to get them all now. On the balcony directly to the right of the door from which you entered the courtyard, you'll find the Silver Toothpick. On the other side of the Cathedral stairs from the way you entered, you'll find a pile of rubble. The Gold Spanish Chalice is sitting at the foot of it. Finally, there's a small side path (it looks like a burnt-out house) that leads to a clearing. Here, up against a natural rock face, you'll find the Silver Coatimundi.
- Head up the library steps and then take a left along the side stairs to a hole in the wall that will lead you to Sully. After the cutscene, you'll be inside the library and under fire. There are three guys up on the balcony with you, two of which have Desert 5s with laser sights. Down on the floor you've got four more, one of which is sporting a grenade launcher. Take care of the guys on the balcony first. As soon as the room is cleared, you'll see a cutscene.
- Now you've got a puzzle to solve. Consult Drake's diary to see that the four statues are labeled Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and that they each have a corresponding compass direction. They all four need to be pointed in the correct direction. You can use the large compass on the floor to get your bearings. The quick solution: The Angel faces North, the Cow faces South, the Lion faces West, and the Eagle faces East. Once they're all aligned correctly, a bookshelf will spin around to reveal a hidden passage with stairs leading down.
- Treasure #41: At the bottom of the stairs is a darkened room full of cobwebs. It's so dark you can't miss the glimmer of the Golden Cup and Cover.
- Drake's Diary will tell you that "the inverted torch leads to the land of the dead." There's no trick here. Turn the two torches mounted on the walls upside down to reveal a second hidden passage.

Chapter 14 - Going Underground
- Treasure #42: As soon as you're down the steep staircase, look to the ledge on your right to find the Golden Inca Vessel.
- Head past the giant sarcophagus and climb up to the right. Keep following the passage to an open pit with a waterfall. Hang off of the ledge and make your way along the right wall and around. You'll find yourself at a stairwell on the other side of the waterfall.
- Treasure #43: Jump over to the waterfall and look under the foam to find the Golden Skull.
- Head up the stairs and take cover behind the first crate. You'll be joined by five men, one of which has a Desert 5. After they're dealt with, look for a crank in the back corner of the room to lift the gate at the top of the stairway.
- Treasure #44: As soon as you emerge from the catacombs into the cathedral, turn around and you'll find the Silver Snuff Box.
- The Cathedral is a great place for a shootout. There are a pair of men with Desert 5s towards the altar, and four more moseying up and down the aisles. Use the pews as cover and stay out of the center aisle. Make your way slowly up towards the altar so that you can get a clean shot on the Desert 5 guards. Once you get close enough, you'll also be attacked by two guards, each near the iron bells at either side of the altar.
- Drake's journal will tell you that "two bells ring in perfect harmony." Stand on the big stone square between the two bells and fire a bullet with your pistol at one, then the other. This will open a door that leads to a ladder back down.
- Treasure #45: After stepping down from the ladder, search behind a large stone sarcophagus to your left for the Silver Spanish Goblet.
- There will be a few more guards in the first three chambers of these catacombs, but not in groups. Keep going past them and you'll find a shaft going up in the back right corner of the last chamber. Climb up and you'll come to a huge open chamber. Jump across the platforms and make your way up to see a cutscene.
- Treasures #46 and #47: After overhearing the villains bicker, move through the other door and jump across to the short stairs. In the nook to the right at the bottom of the steps, you'll find the Silver Ingot. Keep going past one more burial chamber up some stairs to find a chain crank. To the left after ascending the stairs, you'll find the Gold and Ruby Inca Mask.
- Turn the crank to lift the gate and you're back outdoors.

Chapter 15 - On the Trail of the Treasure
- Treasure #48: At the beginning of the chapter, You'll see some stairs heading up to your right. Look in the corner to the right of those stairs, behind a pair of trees, to find the Gold Inca Figurine.
- Head up the steps and to the left to an apparent dead end. Step on the blocks in the corner and then jump up to the ledges. Follow them over to a vine, swing across, and keep on climbing. You'll swing on another vine over to a tower, and start going up until you reach an open window. Go in and drop down.
- You'll find yourself back in the monastery courtyard. There are five men through the doorway on the balcony. There's not a lot of cover in the tower, but you can hang off the ledge for cover if you need it for the first two guards who will come through. After that, you can move out onto the balcony and use boxes or columns. After they're clear, Sully will call you and tell you to head back to the cathedral.
- Treasure #49: Before heading into the cathedral, follow the balcony on around to the left and search near the last stained glass window. You'll find the Golden Bird Vessel.
- Through the doorway at the corner, you'll find several wooden platforms. Jump along them until you reach the stairs, then head down and keep following the path. Eventually you'll notice a doorway below you, but the camera will point you towards a ledge on the wall. Jump out and make your way along the wall above the door over to a tall vine, and climb up to the cathedral window.
- Treasure #50: After dispatching the two guards on the cathedral balcony, head to the back corner to find a dark room with the Golden Spanish Goblet sitting in the middle of the floor.
- Head out to the first wooden rafter, jump to the next, then use the ledges on the walls to get around to the next one. Hop across the chandelier, over two more wooden rafters, then out to a ledge on a stone pillar, which will let you get to the next wooden rafter. Follow the rafters until you see the second chandelier, but don't jump towards it yet. Instead go the opposite direction, towards the wall, and climb along the ledges until you get to a large key on the wall. It's a lever, and if you hang onto it, it will be pulled down. Then make your way back around and jump over to the chandelier and to the other side. Make your way along the wall to the opposite key and pull it down as well, revealing the hidden door. Head to the edge of the walkway just past the key, jump up and hang onto the pillar, and inch your way around. From here, you can jump and grab onto a chain, then swing over to a hanging block and jump to the door.
- Treasure #51: Once inside the secret room, make a right and follow the hallway to the end to find the Jeweled Golden Cross.
- After grabbing the treasure, approach the stained glass window with the heart on it to trigger a cutscene. Once its finished, head out the window and down along some stone blocks, then over to the left towards a vine where you can slide down to a balcony overlooking a courtyard with a huge pit in the middle. There will be four guards in the courtyard who will run up to greet you. Take them out. There's a Dragon Sniper sitting on a crate where you land that might come in handy for dealing with the Guards across the way, who have Desert 5s with laser sights.
- Treasure #52: Take the stairs down from the balcony and follow the right wall over to some tombs. Tucked into the weeds behind a small tomb is the Silver Skull.
- Be ready for five more guards once you head around the pit and up the stairs towards the mausoleum. You can retreat back past the pit and use the tombstones for cover.
- Treasure #53: To the right of the mausoleum you'll find a cluster of tombstones tucked into a corner. Poke around behind them for the Golden Inca Mask.
- Head into the mausoleum to meet up with Elena and Sully. Consulting Drake's diary will reveal seven pictures that match the wheels on the coffins. You'll need to turn each wheel so that the image matches the orientation in the book. The quick solution: Arrows 180 degrees, Snake 90 degrees counterclockwise, Shell 180 degrees. Once it's all in position, a secret door will open and a cutscene will ensue.

Chapter 16 - The Treasure Vault
- You'll find yourself trapped with no way to go but forward. Proceed until you come down a grand staircase into a massive room with a maze of staircases. Consulting Drake's map will reveal the Roman numerals II, V, and VII on the corner. You'll notice marble slabs in the floor with numerals on them. The trick is to only follow the paths that are marked II, V, or VII.
- Treasures 54: There are two treasures on the staircase maze, both of which you'll have to leave the "correct" path to find. To reach the first, start from the beginning, follow the V, go past the II and follow the IV up the steps, then the I, and you'll find the Silver Cup and Cover. You can then take a running leap that will put you right back where you started.
- From the beginning, follow the V, then jump off to the left when you see a II, then up the left staircase and follow the V. Go past the IV and down some steps to find a V pointing up. Climb the stone ledges. They will lead you to a giant waterwheel marked II. Use Triangle to get it started, which will position a chain for you to climb and keep going. Leap right from the chain onto another walkway, follow the V past a swinging lantern, then jump off to the left at the II and follow the path until you reach a second swinging lantern.
- Treasure #55: Look to your left and you'll notice a III on the wall. Make a diagonal jump across to the platform it indicates, where you'll find the Jeweled Silver Brooch.
- On the opposite side of the column from the treasure, there will be swinging torches. Leap across and hang over the side, then shimmy over to the right to avoid them. Follow this path until you see a II on the floor, then jump off to the left onto another platform. Once past the three swinging torches, you'll see a cutscene. be ready to press Circle, then follow the II path past two more torches onto a wooden elevator. At the bottom, you'll see a window grate slide open marked with a V. To reach it, head up the stairs to the right, then jump up to a window ledge and make your way across. Once outside, head right and climb the rusty chain when you see a III telling you to keep going on the path. Step into another elevator and you'll open up the gate for Elena.
- Follow the path (take a left at the II sign) and you'll have a cutscene, then have several of Eddy's men to deal with. Up the steps you'll have a clearing with several wooden columns. Use those as cover while you take out the guards. Watch out! There are two men with grenade launchers to your left, so make sure you're always covered from that direction. Once they're dispatched, head towards the big circular room, jump off to the left where you see a II, and move on through, being mindful of the shotgun-wielding man hiding under the stairs.
- At the top of the stairs, press Triangle to activate the chain crank, which will reveal a ladder. Follow the ladder up, then immediately take cover behind the guardrails from the three men on the path above you. Watch out for one more grenade launching henchman who will fire on you from the distance as you reach the top of the spiral stairs.
- Treasure #56: Past the Spiral staircase, you'll find a stone platform with a stairway to the right labeled VII. Walk halfway down the steps look to your right and you'll notice a glimmer on the adjacent platform. Climb over the railing and jump across to grab the Gold Snuff Box. There's a stone block underneath the spot where you jumped to get you back up.
- Follow the VII all the way down and then up another spiral staircase for another cutscene.

Chapter 17 - The Heart of the Vault
- Hang around Drake's tomb for a few seconds until the L2 trigger tells you to look up. You'll notice some machinery, then Elena will see a ladder and tell you to give her a boost. Stand under the ladder and press Triangle to hoist her up. Then you'll have another cutscene, and you'll be joined in the room by Eddie. Now you'll have new, scary, alien looking things to deal with.
- You simply need to stay alive until Elena can operate the machinery above. Stay close to Eddie if you can and be ready to shake the controller around if one of them grabs you. After about 20 of the things are killed, you'll see another cutscene and you'll lose Eddy. Just wait a little while longer Elena will lower the rope and give you a means of escape.
- They're still following you, though, so keep moving towards the screen and use R1 to fire over your shoulder. You won't be running for very long before you'll slam a door behind you and see another cutscene.

Chapter 18 - The Bunker
- From the bunker, hop out the broken window onto the smaller yellow pipes. These will serve as your climbing ledges. Follow them until you slide down a long one, then hop right to a rusty red pipe. It gives a little but it will hold. Jump to a chain and across to another long yellow pipe going up. Keep heading right once you get to the top until you land on a platform.
- Now you'll need to follow a long yellow pipe over the submarine. You'll have to jump a few times when you get to the joints, but its a straight shot. once you get into the dark room on the other side, wait until Drake turns his flashlight on to avoid falling into the gap in front of you.
- Leap across and turn down the hallway to your right. You'll get a brief and broken message from Sully. Keep following the hallways (grab the MP40, you'll need it in a second) until you get to a larger room with operating tables and what looks like blood on the floor. There's another door on the far side, but three more of the freaky mutant things will come charging at you when you approach it, so be ready.
- Treasure #57: After running into the first three monsters, you'll come to a fork in the path. Head right (two more mutants down here) then turn right again and search in the rubble at the end of the hallway for the Gold Monkey Figurine.
- Head back to the split and this time take the left path. You'll have three more mutants down this way. Take the first available left turn and keep following the hallway and you'll reach the generator room.
- At the back of the room, past the big column of red pipes, you'll find five green generators. Press Triangle in front of the generator in the center and then rotate the control stick to turn the power back on.

Chapter 19 - Unwelcome Guests
- Uh oh! A door sitting under a flashing red strobe light will fly open and you'll have several mutant guests. They'll keep coming and you can't kill them all, so head towards the red light and then climb up the platform to avoid them.
- NOTE: Since they never stop respawning, if you're comfortable fighting the mutants this is a good place to try and pick up your "Survivor" medal.
- You should see a box with a lever nearby. Press Triangle to pull it. This will open up another door with a red light. Make your way back down the hallway to the generator room and then run directly across the room to the red door. You'll be dogpiled by the mutants, but dig through them with heavy fire. At this point, there's no sense in worrying about cover, just try to keep moving.
- In the next side room, push Triangle to pull the lever and the doorway you came through to get to the generator room will re-open, now marked by a green light. Head back that direction.
- With the door shut behind you, follow the green lights on the walls until you see a room with an overhead light on. Head inside to trigger a cutscene where you'll learn about how the treasure of El Dorado cursed the Spaniards and turned them into demons. So THAT is what these things are!
- Speaking of cursed Spaniards, you'll have more to deal with as soon as the cutscene is over. There will be eight total, but don't panic. You need to kill them all before you can leave, because the exit (directly opposite the door you came through, it's kind of hard to spot) is sealed with a wheel you need to turn, and you won't be able to do that while you're being harassed by demons.
- Once you're out, follow the green lights again until you find the control platform. You'll see another cutscene. Now it's time to fight humans again. These are some of Roman's mercenaries and they'll take a few more hits than the ones you've fought before. The first two will coming in through a doorway at the back of the room to the left, so take cover behind the crates and wait for them to come to you. The rest will be at the bottom of the stairwell. You'll have to use the doorway as cover to deal with them.
- Head down and around the corner back out into the submarine bay. There'll be a sniper in the right control booth. You can take care of him with a handgun from one of the mercenaries. You'll run into four mutants as you move on past the crates. As you round the corner to head up the stairs, you'll see mutants and hear gunfire. Wait at the stairs for a while while the mutants and mercenaries thin each other's numbers, then head up and clean what's left. Most likely there will be at least three mercenaries left. You can grab a Dragon Sniper on the crate to pick them off or simply use the M4.
- Move forward and you'll see some more cursed Spaniards being mowed down. Wait until there aren't any mutants left and then clean up in the storage area around the corner. There will probably be four mercenaries left. Also, there'll be another sniper in the same booth as before (by now it's to your left) that you'll need to save a Dragon Sniper bullet for.
- Treasure #58: In the storage area at the far end of the U-Boat dock, there'll be two crates forming a column against the back wall. Climb on top of them (the top one is scooted over a little, giving you a place to grab on) to find the Golden Seadragon Pendant.
- Head back down the other side of the dock. Two Mutants will climb out of the pipes, so be ready. Climb up the boxes and then look to your left for the door leading out.

Chapter 20 - Race to the Rescue
- Treasure #59: Immediately after climbing out of the pit, search on the darker growth behind it for the Gold Ingot.
- Head forward and jump off the overhang to find yourself back in the monastery courtyard. You can see Sully on the other side of the courtyard, but don't head for him just yet. There will be two men on the ground in front of you and a sniper on the balcony to your right. Once they're dispatched, you'll be attacked by four more to your left, towards the library. One of these has a rocket launcher, so make sure to use cover. Deal with them then make your way over to Sully.
- Quickly take cover behind Sully's wall, because you'll be under pressure from behind you. A man with a grenade launcher will be on the same balcony as the sniper from earlier, and an additional sniper will be way up in the tower. There will be another Dragon Sniper near Sully's position to take care of them. On the ground, you'll have two pairs of mercenaries approaching you, one from where you emerged and one trying to flank you to the right. Once the fighting has stopped. Make your way up to the cathedral and head in.
- You'll be under fire again once you're inside, so take cover behind the left column, where you'll find some more Dragon Sniper ammo. There are five snipers in the cathedral, so you'll need it. There are also four men on the ground, two of which are sporting grenade launchers. Just be patient and don't waste your Dragon Sniper bullets.
- After clearing that wave, another six will come running in from the catacombs at the back. Grabbing one of the fallen mercenaries' grenade launchers will make them a lot less stressful. After that, you'll probably be sighted with a laser from behind. Keep rolling to avoid the laser sight and make your way up to the altar. From here, you'll see one more sniper standing on the scaffolding over the front door, and you'll have five more men on the ground.
- Once it's over, meet Sully at the altar to uncover the treasure vault.

- Treasure #60: Head down the stairs and onward into the room with the two huge stone sarcophagi. To the right, just in front of the sarcophagus, you'll find the Golden Skull Rosary.
- Tresaure #61: After grabbing the Rosary, you'll head down a flight of stairs into a small room with a single central column. Tucked behind that column is the Sapphire and Silver Mask.
- After grabbing the final treasure, head on down the stairs for an epic cutscene.
- Better get going! head down to the left, blasting through Cursed Spaniards as you come to them, and then forward up the stairs. Use the pillars as cover from the mercenaries, then take a running leap out onto the cargo nets around El Dorado.

Chapter 22 - Showdown
- Time for the final battle. Nevarro, the game's final boss, must be fought in four sections. In each section, you'll need to either kill all of Nevarro's henchmen, or destroy the box that Nevarro is using as cover. Either way, you'll have to clean up his guards before you can advance. You'll be under fire from his henchmen, who are dangerous in their own right, but Nevarro's laser sighted Desert 5 is the real threat. He will peek out to fire in bursts of four shots. The first three are fired blind; they rarely hit you, and if they do it won't be lethal. His fourth bullet, however, is always aimed directly at your head, so make absolutely sure there's a box or something between you and him when he fires the fourth shot. You'll also need to take care not to get too close to Nevarro, or else you'll instantly be shot down.
- In the first section, immediately take cover behind the first stack of crates. There will be four guards at first, plus another two who will come in to replace them. Your best bet is to aim four shotgun blasts at the crate Nevarro uses for cover. He'll retreat, and the rest of the soldiers won't be so dangerous.
- In Section two, Nevarro will set up around a corner with four guards. The first group of crates you can use for cover won't last; they'll eventually be destroyed by Nevarro's Desert 5 shots. Your best bet here is to take out the two guards to Nevarro's left, which will cause another four to come in to your left. When this happens, retreat back into the first section, and take them out from cover. After that, you can make your way over to the far boxes and use them for cover to take out the last two guards.
- On the way into the third section, there will be an explosion, and you'll have to quickly hit Circle to avoid being crushed by falling crates. Afterwards, roll out behind the first crate. Nevarro will have two guards near him, plus another heading down the steps from the helipad. After dispatching those three, you'll be fired on by man up top with a grenade launcher. Take him down and Nevarro will retreat up the steps.
- After the cutscene, you'll lose your weapons. Take cover the moment you regain control. Now Nevarro will fire in bursts of three, but the third shot will go right through the crate and kill you. After he fires twice, press Circle to dive over to the next set of crates. He'll fire two more shots, at which point press X to dive over your cover to the next set. Now there's only one piece of cover between you and the enemy. This time, the SECOND shot will break your crate, so the minute it's gone, dash forward and knock him out with a brutal combo: Square, Triangle, Square. He'll dive for his gun, but run towards him and nail him with one last brutal combo and he'll be down for good. Congratulations! Settle in for the final cutscenes.
