  • Game Details

    The Uncharted games follow the main character Nathan Drake, a professional treasure hunter with an "everyman" charm. During his adventures Drake has encountered everything from guerrillas and drug traffickers to modern day pirates, making him adept at handling a variety of obstacles.

    In Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a mysterious artifact lures Nathan Drake on an expedition to find the legendary Himalayan valley of Shambhala. This expedition embroils Drake in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse against a fugitive war criminal who is after more than just the fabled riches of the lost city. Drake will be forced to sift through the layers of deception and endure an increasingly deadly pursuit to find the answers he's looking for.

  • Uncharted 2 DLC

    On November 28, 2009 Naughty Dog released a first Downloadable Content (DLC) pack for Uncharted 2. The pack included a new map, called "The Fort", which is a re-creation of the "Fortress" chapter in the first Uncharted installment. The Fort is designed for multiplayer combat, allowing players to clash heads-on, but also use flank and use 'bypasses'. Next to the extra map, the weekend of November 28-29 is called "Double Cash weekend", and will have players dressed in Doughnut-like (fat) costumes.     IGN rated Uncharted 2 at an "Incredible" 9.5 and an Editors Choice award, stating "It's easily one of the best games on the system, blending fantastic presentation and visuals with gameplay that is practically second to none.   • Home Area

    On October 9, 2009, Sony announced it will release a dedicatede Uncharted 2 area for its Playstation 3 Home.   • Twitter incorporation

    During development, Naughty Dog incorporated a link to Twitter, allowing th player to send Twitters, and status messages from within the game. The feature was removed, as it turned out to pollute the users' accounts.   • Multiplayer Demo

  • Multiplayer Penalty

    In an attempt to battle players who repeatedly quit online matches mid-session, Naughty Dog has added a $40,000 fine for leaving a game, whatever the cause. The fine has caused many complaints by players, as the fine is also applied when connection is lost without malice. Naughty Dog reacted to these complaints with the following statement:
    "Currently we’re confident we’ve made the right decision regarding penalties for leaving the match—remember you don’t get docked any cash for the FIRST time.   • Experimental Weekend

    Developer Naughty Dog announced that they will tinker with the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer gameplay during the weekend of December 4-7, 2009. The changes consist of a lowering of all health levels from 100% to 65% on all game types.   • 1.03 Patch

    On December 18, Naughty Dog released patch upgrade 1.03, which further tweaks the Uncharted 2 multiplayer.The patch included:
    - Added the version number to the game menu.
    - Added four letter CLAN TAGS that will be displayed before you PSN ID.
    - Load times have been decreased!
    - Some boosters have been adjusted to help level things out.
    - Added the “rematch” ability.
    - Modified some issues with the ‘Players Met’ screen and XMB problems.
    - Resolved issues with double cash not being rewarded through medals.
