Ultraviolet is a film about a woman infected with a virus that gives her superhuman strength. Outcast, she must use her supernatural power to save herself and a young boy.
The movie was released on March 3, 2006 and received poor reviews from critics. Many moviegoers also complained that the story was confusing and the special effects and shaky camera made action and fight scenes hard to follow. By the end of its theatrical run, Ultraviolet made $31,056,644 at the box office, only slightly beating its budget of $30 million. The movie was not considered successful.
