  • Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is a 2D fighting game developed by Midway. The game was first released as an arcade game in 1995 and was later released on six other platforms. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is an updated version of its predecessor Mortal Kombat 3, featuring the Mortal Kombat patent violence and dark art style, along with new gameplay features, characters, four new levels, and other various tweaks. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 has 19 playable characters readily available, and several others than can be unlocked later in the game.

  • Gameplay Description

    Like other Mortal Kombat games, you select a playable character from the menu and progress through a series of matches, attempting to defeat every other character in order to beat the game. The two “boss” characters in the game are Motaro, a Centaurian, and Shao Khan, emperor of Outword, the fictional setting of the Mortal Kombat games. When you defeat an opponent, you have the opportunity to enter in a button combination, triggering a “fatality,” an especially violent finishing move that usually results in blood and gore. In certain levels in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 it is possible to uppercut your opponent and make them break through the level into a different area. These levels are Scrorpion's Lair, The Subway and The Soul Chamber.

    1. Rain's name uses a different font than the other characters
    2. Dan Forden's head occasionally pops into the lower corner of the screen, proclaiming “Toasty!”
