UK Sends More Troops to Afghanistan

  • On October 14, 2009, the British government decided to send an additional 500 soldiers to Afghanistan, in addition to the 9,000 people already stationed there.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/8305922.stm Prime Minister Gordon Brown added that certain conditions have to be met before the additional forces would be actually sent, but only if key conditions are met.
