The Roster
The roster for UFC 2009 Undisputed consists of 80 fighters, 16 for each of the five weight divisions. These include characters that are expected to be in the game, as well as a few who haven't been in the spotlight recently. In addition to the standard roster, Efrain Escudero and Ryan Bader will be available exclusively to those who purchase the game from GameStop.A number of fighters can switch weight class. Mike Swick, for example, is a a welterweight fighter who can also fight in the middleweight division. Fighters who switch weight class will have their core attributes—strength, speed, cardio—altered somewhat. Fighters in the different divisions will have unique strengths or weaknesses. For example, a lightweight is generally faster, while heavyweights will be stronger and matches in that class have a greater chance to end in knockouts.GameSpot: EXCLUSIVE: UFC 2009 Undisputed Full Roster Reveal, Video Interview (March 19, 2009) GameSpot: UFC 2009 Undisputed Interview
