Udonis Haslem is a professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association.
Haslem was sidelined for part of the 2008-2009 season after he injured his thumb on April 3, 2009. He attempted to block a shot during a game against the Charlotte Bobcats, slicing his thumb. The cut was deep and required six stitches.http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/11604441
Arrest
On August 16, 2010, Haslem was pulled over for speeding while driving his 2008 Mercedes sedan. During the traffic stop, the police officer found marijuana in the vehicle as well as various drug paraphernalia. Haslem and his passenger, Antwain Fleming, were both arrested and taken to jail where they were later released from custody.
According to the police report, marijuana was found in two separate locations in the car, including under the driver's seat. Fleming claimed that all of the drugs belonged to him, and Haslem's attorney says that he expects the charges against his client to be dropped. In 2003, Haslem signed as a free agent with the Miami Heat. Haslem quickly worked his way into the Heat rotation. In 2006, he was the starting power forward during the Heat's championship run.
