The United States Open is one of the four major Grand Slam golf tournaments held each year. It is hosted in the United States by the USGA and is on the schedule of both the PGA Tour and the PGA European Tour.
The 2009 U.S. Open took place from June 15 to June 21, at the Black Course of Bethpage State Park, Long Island, New York. Play was postponed on June 18, 2009, after rain fell on the course. ESPN: US Open
