  • The United States Department of the Interior is a U.S. branch of government which oversees American federally-owned land and its conservation, including natural and cultural resources.

    The U.S. Interior Department was sprung into scandal when a September 2008 report unveiled various ethical violations of Interior employees, particularly those involved with the Minerals Management Service.
