Typhoon Lupit (regional name 'Ramil') is a tropical storm in the Philippines region, that emerged on October 14, 2009 as a tropical depression.
Lupit is expected to make landfall in northern Luzon, Philippines, on October 22, around 8 p.m. local time. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/archives/2009/h2009_lupit.html

History
Typhoon Lupit follows in the wake of Super typhoon Pepeng, which was a typhoon in end September and start of October of 2009.
