  • Tyler Florence is a chef and the television host of several Food Network shows. Florence graduated from the College of Culinary Arts at the Charleston, South Carolina, campus of Johnson & Wales University. He was later given an honorary doctorate from the University for his culinary success
  • Background

    Florence studied under some of New York City's premiere chefs like; Charlie Palmer at Aureole, Marta Pulini at Mad 61 and Rick Laakonen at River Cafe. Then in 1995, Florence accepted the executive chef's position at Cibo. In 1998, Florence opened the critically acclaimed Cafeteria in Manhattan.
