Tyler Arnason

  • Tyler Arnason is a professional hockey player from the United States. He is currently playing with the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League.
  • Career Highlights

    Prior to his NHL days, Arnason attended and played for St. Cloud State University, starting in 1998. That same year he was drafted 183rd overall in the NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. Arnason made his NHL debut during the 2001-02 regular season, playing 20 NHL games. He spent the rest of his time with the Blackhawks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals. He scored 26 goals and 30 assists in 60 games with the Admirals, earning him the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Trophy for the AHL's Rookie of the Year. Following three additional seasons with the Blackhawks, Arnason was traded to the Ottawa Senators on March 9, 2006. He completed the season in Ottawa, then entered the free agency. On July 1, 2006, Arnason signed with the Colorado Avalanche. He renewed his contract with the Avalanche on June 22, 2007, signing on for two additional years.
