Twine is a social bookmarking site that utilizes algorithms to organize the data a user adds and shares it with his/her community. It has been described as "the first mainstream Semantic Web application". Twine.com is a product of Radar Networks. Nova Spivak reveals in his blog the evolution of Twine "T2" in a move toward a results driven search engine. This next generation search will take advantage of machine interpretable data on pages allowing context to be applied to search results along with suggestions for narrowing the search more quickly to the answer the user is searching for.
Nova Spivak Announces Sale of Radar Networks to Evri
Nova Spivak announced in a blog post March 11, 2010, that he has sold Radar Networks including product Twine.com to Evri. Nova will continue part time as the development team transitions to Evri. He is already involved in additional business ventures including Live Matrix and Klout. The sale of Radar Networks will allow Nova to explore new business ventures and non-profit work. Nova also has a book in the works.
